Who is Jon Anxin?
Like any good yarn, my story has a beginning, a middle and an end.
The middle of this story finds me on my way to India in my early 20′s. For various reasons, I found myself in a rather desperate state that led me to leave my home country and head towards India with no return ticket, no job, and less than $50 in my pocket after the flight costs. By all traditional reckoning, that should have been the end of old cousin Anxin.
However, I ended up staying and living in India for years. I eventually found my way to other if not greener pastures, and lived for years in Thailand, China, and South Korea as well.
What Has Jon Anxin Done That You Might Be Interested In?
The answer to that question depends a little bit on me, and a little bit on you, doesn’t it?
- I’ve trained with some of the greatest martial arts and meditation masters throughout Asia.
- I’m considered by many to be one of the leading experts in the world on strategy, power and The Art Of War. However, I am not personally interested in either business or military applications of these subjects, and don’t teach much about that.
First Things First
I’ve also accomplished several “firsts”:
- I was the first and only person to ever do a real translation of Thick Black Theory, which had been banned in China since 1911
- I was the first peron to bring out a lot of the other lesser known “Bingfa’s” or The Art Of War in a very public and accessible way
- I was the first and only person to translate the Bailian Jings, or White Lotus Sutras, which have been banned and suppressed for over 800 years
So You Want To Learn Strategy And The Art Of War…
I’m not publically very involved in teaching this type of material anymore. I have some full length video seminars and other great resources available for free here on the site which should be of some use to you.
For those people who really want to drill down deep and understand strategy, power, success, etc. here are my suggestions:
- Read Thick Black Theory - Obviously I have some predjudices related to this, but I can guarantee you that Thick Black is the most chunked up, and highest level work on power you’re going to find. It’s also very easy to understand immediately, but can be studied for a lifetime.
- Read The Lost Arts Of War – This book of mine combines the Bingfa’s or The Art Of War by various lesser known Chinese strategists such as Zhuge Liang, Wu Qi, Jiang Ziya, etc. and is a must read for anyone who wants to fill in the gaps of The Art Of War by Sun Tzu, which can be a bit cryptic for a novice.
- Read The Bingfa: The Anxin Art Of War – In this book (which is partly available for free on this site) I took the core concepts from The Art Of War from various thinkers and synthesized the material into one short, easy to get volume that is an absolute must have for anyone interested in success, strategy, The Art Of War, martial arts, etc.
- Watch The Free Videos – I have lots of them available here on the site.
